Christmas Spiced Old Fashion

We’re kickin’ it old school with this classic old-fashioned recipe, of course with a sweet Nutra Christmas spin on it. Ginger, maple, whisky, spices and citrus blend together perfectly for a heartwarming drink that truly feels like Christmas in a cup. Ingredients

PANTRY ITEMS

½ cup maple syrup

½ tsp ground cardamom

1 tsp ground cinnamon

¼ cup whisky (or bourbon)

2 tbsp lemon juice

2 tbsp orange juice

Dash of bitters

Ginger beer

Dehydrated orange and spices to garnish

NUTRA ORGANICS INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp Collagen Beauty Vanilla

Method

Mix the maple syrup, cardamom and cinnamon in a medium pot. Add 1/4 cup of water and bring to boil (whilst continuously stirring). Boil for 2-3 minutes, then remove from the heat, stir in Collagen Vanilla. Let cool. This syrup makes enough for about 6 drinks.
In a glass with ice, gently stir together the bourbon, lemon juice, orange juice, bitters, and 1-3 tablespoons of the maple-spice syrup
Top off with ginger beer. Garnish with an orange slice, cinnamon stick and cardamom pod if desired.
